Snetterton is an extremely popular test venue on which premier racing cars have been developed. The locally based Lotus F1 team made Snetterton its home test track, while major British single-seater manufacturer Van Diemen has never been based more than a stone's throw away from the Revett Straight. Snetterton is one of the fastest race circuits in the country. The layout includes two of the longest straights in the UK, linked by quick corners, and a couple of mind-concentrating chicanes. Highlights of this season will include rounds of British Superbikes and the British Touring Car Championship, as well as countless classic bike and car races.
Situated in the heart of Norfolk, Richmond Park Golf Course provides a delightful setting for the game of golf. Set in 100 acres of parkland, the course incorporates the ever popular charm and challenge of water features, including The River Wissey which winds through all of the 18-hole course. Facilities include a driving range with covered bays, practice putting green and resident teaching professional. The distinctive, colonial style clubhouse extends a very real welcome, offering restaurant facilities and the club bar which overlooks the course. Hot and cold food and drinks are served throughout the day.
The real beauty of golf at Barnham Broom is the contrasting character of the two courses and the challenges they offer. Take the Valley Course, beautifully designed by Frank Pennink, one of Europe's most respected golf course architects, with abundant water features, blending into the delightful natural landscape. Then there's the Hill Course, another of Frank's designs, although, this time, modified by Donald Steel. As its name suggests, golfers can enjoy fine views over the surrounding countryside, while rising to the challenge posed by constant breezes and carefully placed bunkers guarding the greens.
